Spoiled only by the car parking lot, this breathtaking square was destroyed during the war, and restored to its original glory. Back in the medieval time Ieper Market Square was a prosperous and wealthy cloth trade center, evident by the stunning Cloth Hall.

Nowadays, the terraces and coffee shops around are ideal for a relaxed coffee time. If you happen to go on Saturday morning you will come across the numerous stalls of the open market.
