€€€€ Funky, Modern
"Busy, buzzing and funky, with excellent little plates."

Located in lower Manhattan, Estela is a brilliant little bar restaurant, of the new kind.

A full house on Monday night was a good sign that this place was a hit. Indeed it was.

The food was simply prepared yet fresh, exciting and complex in a way. We loved every bite! Especially the foie, staffed with leafs on the grill and the sea urchin.

On the day of the visit, service was adequate. And they do not take cash. Also, don't go earlier than your reservation time. You might end up waiting outside.
