"A piece costs $8, so be prepared to pay or don't go on an empty stomach!"

It was harder to make the reservation at Sushi Yasuda compared to other NYC venues because there was no online reservation system (Only phone reservations, on specific times) and the website looked kind of primitive. So, it was kind of expected that this was an intimate Japanese Omakase type restaurant with few seats, far away from commercialization. It wasn't. It was a large scale buzzing restaurant in the city center. Most of the guests sat on tables and very few made it to the counter for the traditional experience.

On the night of the visit, sushi was OK but it had an unbalanced dose of wasabe. Surprisingly, we found a tiny piece of fish bone and some sea urchin hair in our food. Each piece costs $8-$10, so be prepared to pay a lot for this or don't go on an empty stomach!

Service was polite, though our waiter asked us four times if our last dishes have arrived!
