€€ Belgian, Casual, Deli
"Casual deli-charcuterie restaurant with dishes such as mixed Flemish meat."

Although nowadays, the building houses a casual restaurant, with Ganda ham legs hanging from the roof, back in the 15th century the Great Butcher Hall (Groot Vleeshuis) was the town's main indoor meat market.

The most striking feature of this historic building is its gorgeous wooden roof, which resembles the structure of an upside hanged boat.

It also functions as a permanent promotion center for East Flemish products so expect to be served by the in-house restaurant dishes such as mixed Flemish meats and cheeses and local beer.
