"High value for money, little Belgian bistro."

Visiting the little Belgian French bistro, Brasserie Raymond, was the result of a recommendation from a local. In highly touristic areas such as Bruges, it is inevitable to fall into a tourist trap at some point. That is why, your best bet is referrals.

The place is rustic yet chic. Upon arrival, Brasserie Raymond was almost packed with locals (very important detail) and the waiters seemed to ignore our presence. Don’t take the following statement wrong, but sometimes an authentic traditional establishment, the rustic type, does not have perfect service and it is okay. And it was. Eventually, when the waiters did engage with us, they were exciting and funny.

Fresh mussels (6 for 16), half grilled garlic butter lobster for 24 and Foie Gras for 24. Amazingly fresh and excellent cooking. I am still drooling over their image.

It was a pleasant and unpretentious culinary experience and it was high value for money.
