Hotel Rua Frati in San Francesco is conveniently located adjacent to the old city of Modena, just a few minutes walk to the city center with an easily accessible parking across the hotel. It is rather small and on the day of the visit, August 26, we just saw a few other guests around.
Although the hotel itself comprises of a historic set of a few, united buildings retaining some of the original features, do not expect a luxurious, Italian style villa; rather some basic Italian charm and characteristics such as an impressive golden mirror above a fireplace in our room.
Our room was large and clean, rather simple and cold in decoration...
