"It’s a new edition of the original Elizabethan playhouse."

The creator Sam Wanamaker of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, tried to stay as close to the original as possible which was destroyed in the early 17th century.  Therefore, he used English Oak and as many materials and methods of building that were used at the time the authentic was built (forget about 21st century comforts).

You can watch several performances there so check their website for ticket information.
