Bridges, Sculptures
"It is not just a bridge. It's a small outdoor museum!"

The Ponte Vittorio Emanuele II is not just a bridge. It's a small outdoor museum! Of course it is Rome, where bigger and better things go on in regards to art and architecture, but still.. it is impressive.

Designed in 1886, it is one of many more (humble) bridges crossing Tiber River. It celebrates Vitorio Emanuele II's regime, and it is the connection street between the old center and Borgo area. There are 3 arches on the Ponte Vittorio Emanuele II bridge, with a complex group of statues adorning each point of them.

Besides being a beautiful scene to look at, on summer weekends there is buzzing nightlife.
