"This accident was due to soft soil rather than human mistake."

The Tower of Pisa is a freestanding bell tower that belongs to the city’s cathedral and it leans approximately four meters on the top.

This architectural malfunction has brought millions of Euros in tourist income for the city. Looking at the Tower of Pisa, makes you appreciate the level of architectural knowledge that people had thousands of years ago, in order to build all those beautiful structures that do not lean.

Of course this accident was due to soft soil rather than human mistake. It began when the Pisa Tower was being built and it continued for years, until it was stabilized with some help of later engineers.

The Tower of Pisa sits on a beautiful green square on the Piazza dei Miracoli along with its Cathedral, many souvenir vendors and thousands of tourists...
