"Royal grounds housing Houses of Parliament, open for tours."

The Palace of Westminster houses the Houses of Parliament (Houses of Commons and Lords). It is situated on the banks of the Thames river and unlike the attached Big Ben, this one is open for tourists. It is royal grounds as it also contains the Queen's Robing Room and the Royal Gallery.

Although most of its building was rebuilt in the 19th century after a disastrous fire, the Westminster Hall wasn’t destroyed and dates back in 1097. The Gothic structure is the place where William Wallace (yes, Braveheart) and King Charles the First stood trial.

You can catch this main attraction from the Hop-on, Hop-off tourist buses, or you can go inside with a guided tour. They even have a Tea option.
