"Van Eyck and Rubens works in the building."

The magnificent Saint Bavo Cathedral (Sint-Baafs Cathedral), houses a priceless triptych painting by the famous 14th century artist, Jan van Eyck: the Adoration of the Mystic Lamb. Just for that it is worth to walk a bit towards the tall towered church. But there's more treasures: the baroque high altar in marble, the rococo pulpit, a Rubens, the ‘Calvary Triptych’, etc. You can also climb up the stairs of the tower for a good view of Ghent.
