Grand Hotel de la Minerve offers simple rooms with continuous A/C (could be an issue in Rome). Its greatest advantage is its great location next to the buzzing Pantheon area and within walking distance to every important site.
In regards to service, there was a lot of room for improvement. On the day of the visit, we experienced some careless staff who did not pay attention to customer requests.
Another incident that left us with a bitter taste was related to breakfast charges. Breakfast was not included in the price we were given which is of course understandable. However, on the bill we signed the first day at breakfast, there was no amount, just the room number, so we thought that it was included...
