Sui Generis is located in a town called Saronno, approximately a half an hour drive from Como and Milan. It is a small restaurant styled with the finest furniture, lighting and a window to the kitchen where all the magic happened live in front of us.. It had only a dozen seats for a purposefully exclusive culinary experience.
On the night of the visit, a Thursday in February 26, we were the solo diners but we didn't mind at all. We had the efficient and excellently coordinated service of three at our service. Service was immaculate to say the least. Like ballarinas performing what appeared to be a disciplined talented and synchronised performace.
You can tell what kind of food you are going to eat from the first seconds in this kind of restaurants. The amuse bouche gives it all away. And when it is good, you know you are in for a treat. The menu was blind for €150 and we even let our child have it...
