The famous cylindrical building, by the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright was conceived as a "temple of the spirit" and named after after its founder.

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum accommodates a continuously expanding collection of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, early Modern and contemporary art.

It is also known for its special exhibitions throughout the year of contemporary and abstract art.
