Beaches
"Fresh fish, gorgeous beach, heavily crowded in the summer so no parking."

Situated west of Portofino, the village of Camogli is an Italian resort which attracts mainly Italians. Approximately 5,000 people live there, but it is heavily crowded during the summer months. If you travel to Camogli by car, go early or be prepared for no parking spaces.

The sea view is not so visible from the street but the blue water beach, which is lined with colorful buildings, is quite amazing once you get down there.

Camogli is famous for a few things, among them the fresh fish that you can taste at their local restaurants, and a couple of festivals. The enormous frying pan, fish festival called Sagra del Pesce (2nd Sunday of March) and the Stella Maris (1st Sunday of August), where glowing lanterns in the sea illuminate the water for sailors.
