"The beautiful main square of Montpellier."

The beautiful main square of Montpellier is no comedy club like the name suggests. Place de la Comedie dates back to the 18^th century and the city’s old railway station used to be close to it. Now the city trams come through the square.

The large pedestrian area is decorated with a fountain at the center and the graceful buildings around it set a nice ambience perfect for strolling.

There are shops and restaurants in the area, as it is highly touristic.

If you are driving, it is easy to get lost and end up in the square which is pedestrian, so park away from it.
