"Curiosity kills not only the cat but the Heinzelmännchen too."

Heinzelmaennchenbrunnen is the little fountain with flowers and a sculpture in the center of the square on Am Hof area in Cologne, which is packed with cafes and tourists.

There is a story behind it about the little helpers that assisted people (the Heinzelmännchen) and the curiosity of a tailor's wife (named Curious) who tried to get a glimpse of them, by tripping them with peas on her steps. So they disappeared. Curiosity killed the cat as they say... well curiosity killed the Heinzelmännchen.
