"Neo-Gothic spire church located next to the Cathedral"

St. Foillan church is located in Aachen's central Cathedral Square pedestrian zone, right next to the cathedral. It was built in 1180 and renovated in the 19^th century. It has a neo-Gothic spire, a large bronze cross, paintings, a late Gothic sculpture of Madonna, a wooden statue from the 16^th century and other relics. Damages and restorations left their toll on the building.
