€€€€ PPPP: €120 Mountain, Traditional, Fine Dining
"A billion (not a million) dollar view of the Evian mountains."

Update 2016: The restaurant is now officially closed.

Located in Chardonne, Le Montagne is a starred establishment, run and owned by the young chef David Tarnowski who created the restaurant 5 years ago. The view on the way to get there as well as the restaurant setting itself are mind blowing! It sits across a billion (not a million) dollar view. It must be outstanding to sit in the balcony during summer and have lunch across the Alps!

Le Montagne restaurant seems traditional but elegant. Everything we ate was delicious with the exception of a sour cinnamony dessert. The level of food was high and the cooking was (as you would expect) appropriate. No molecular or modern techniques, rather classic preparations with high quality ingredients.
