Located in the small village Madulain, just a 15 minute drive near St Moritz, Stuva Colani is Michelin star restaurant serving fine dining cuisine.
It was not busy on the day of the visit, a Sunday lunch service in November 23. So, we enjoyed our meal in an amazing room full of wine bottles.
From the a la carte menu, we tried the Risoto with Crayfish, Linguine pasta with red prawns, the Quail Breast with broad bean puree and the Pikeperch with peas. For desserts we had the Pesca Al Gambero an interesting dessert with prawns and the Chocolato. All the dishes were professionally prepared, with fresh ingredients and had a meticulous presentation, suitable for the Michelin star rating. Some of the dishes were so beautiful it was art on a plate. This level of food could benefit from further complexity in regards to the depth of flavous, what one might call umami nevertheless...
