"Not the easiest place to drive to or park, but this view is priceless"

Located on a hill top in Cernobio, il Gato Nero enjoys a privileged view of the lake Como.

On the day of the visit, a Tuesday lunch, we tried the raw gambi, the ravioli stuffed with meat, the mushroom pasta, and the sea bass. We enjoyed everything with the exception of some uncooked leaks in the sea bass. Prices were reasonable for the area and the cover charge was €5 per person, compared to other restaurants which charge €10.

There are 5-6 parking spaces reserved for the restaurant some 100 meters downhill. If you can't find parking there, it will be difficult to find one in other parts of the narrow streets. With the steep sloaps, it is not the easiest place to drive or park, but lunching with this view is priceless. Keep in mind that the restaurants is opened for lunch until 2.

Service was relying on a very efficient young man.
