€€ Rustic, Traditional
"Authentic ambience, traditional food, reasonable prices."

Situated near the tourist area near the cathedral, Le Clou's interior and its guests can not be seen from the pedestrian street.

Described as "typical", the traditional Winstub "Le Clou" was quite a surprise as it was heavily crowded, buzzing with locals and tourists.

A super busy lunch service often means slow service. Nevertheless, this authentic establishment is doing so well for one good reason... the traditional, well prepared but heavy Alsatian food at reasonable prices. The food seems to attract a lot of French visitors which is a good hint. They do serve the heavenly bone marrow with toast, if you are up for it.

Be prepared to sit next to strangers, make sure you are not claustrophobic, get used to the French service attitude and enjoy your food!
