Located some 25' from central Como, Il Cantuccio is an Italian Michelin star restaurant. On the day of the visit, which was a Sunday lunch, we were seated at the restaurant's lower level, as there was s loud crowd for a birthday party on the ground level.
We were greeted by a very welcoming Mauro, who offered to translate menu items in English for us.
We ordered a few items from the lunch menu such as langoustines with sea urchin ice cream, which was brilliant, scallops, turbot, risotto, ravioli, and a few other dishes, all prepared professionally and delicious. The least favourite, a game dish, hare with truffle had a very intense smell which was not so pleasant.
Service was very efficient and fast. Prices were quite reasonable as this was a high value for money Michelin experience.
Would love to return again and again for this one. Certainly a keeper.
