"The Master of classics is doing just that!"

The legendary French born Pierre Koffman, famous from his three Michelin stars of La Tante Claire, is now the head chef at Koffmann's at The Berkeley hotel in Knightsbridge.

He serves classic dishes such as Chateaubriand and Beef Wellington in a fine hotel setting. As he admits, he is no longer chasing stars so everything in his restaurant is formal yet relaxed.

On the day of the visit we had the lobster bisque, crab salad and of course the Wellington. All of them were properly prepared by the master of these classic dishes and his team.

Service was professional.

We did not get a chance to meet with the man behind the name as he was on vacation in Australia.
