This hotel experience at Cour des Loges was like a short trip back in time. Situated in the heart of Lyon’s pedestrian area, Cour des Loges enjoys a very privileged location.
It is a breathtaking, ancient building with a stunning courtyard, which houses the hotel’s restaurant. Even a tourist group stopped in front of it for a history lesson. Much of the ‘oldness’ is preserved inside, on the walls, in the rooms, the beds, the bathrooms, the elevator, the colors, etc.
On the day of the visit, we were upgraded to a room with a shared terrace. It was dark and it had poor lighting. The signature antique bed head, added to the gloomy ambience and the heaviness of the furnishings...
